Performant internal audits (en)The successful implementation of QMS, FSMS and/or EMS is always highly dependent on the acceptance and understanding of the Management System by the users - e.g. the process owners. Internal audits are considered as one key instrument to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of a Management System but often, are only considered as a tool to check the correspondence between documentation and implementation. This does not reflect the real strength of internal audits or ensure any added value and they should be considered as an important management tool. The methodology of internal audits is described in ISO 19011:2002 (Guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing) but this standard is frequently not very well known. Course objectives To acquire the fundamentals of the applicable standard ISO 19011 To understand and be in a position to correctly apply the key steps of an internal audit process: To review and optimize the own audit practice To share the course content with other participants via forum.
